Online learning adaptability provides students with a wide range of placement options, from on-the-go placements in the midst of their daily lives to dedicated time and space for learning. Since student emotional involvement has been linked to learning and academic success, it is crucial to investigate student emotions. Therefore, this study uses a factor analysis approach to explore the emotional experiences of all Universiti Poly-Tech Malaysia (UPTM) students that enrolled in Mathematics and Statistics courses for the academic semester of April 2022. The students have completed a survey-adapted version of the Achievement Emotions Questionnaire (AEQ-S) consisting of 24 items that surveyed emotional experiences before, during and after online classes. Demographic information was collected, encompassing variables like cumulative grade point average (CGPA), online learning tools, internet stability and measurement of students' enjoyment, pride, anxiety, anger, hopelessness, and boredom. A ten-point Likert scale ranging from "strongly disagree" to "strongly agree" measured the respondents' agreement with each item. The result demonstrated that emotions towards an online-based learning system are multifaceted, with three components explored, namely "Frustration and Disengagement", "Motivation and Achievement", and "Anxiety and Apprehension".
2024-11-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 SURIANA ISHAK, EMI AMIELDA AHMAD MOKHTAR, NOOR FARAH WAHIDA ABDUL RASHID, NIK NUR SYAZREEN NIK ROHAIMI, SYAHIRAH ABDUL KADIR, HAZRINA TAJUDINhttps://journal.uptm.edu.my/index.php/evolusi/article/view/271 Explore The Non-Performance Among Entrepreneur Of Street Coffee In Malaysia2024-12-21T02:12:13+00:00MUHAMMAD AMIRUL AKMAL MOHD JAISakmalssr@gmail.comNorhaninah AGaninorhaninah@uptm.edu.my

Keywords:

Non-Performance,

Street Coffee,

Kotler theory,

Entrepreneur,

Business

The research objectives outlined focus on understanding the dynamics and challenges faced by entrepreneurs in the street food industry, with a particular emphasis on their responsibilities, limitations, and sustainability methods. This literature review examines the definitions and contexts of challenging behavior, identifying it as any conduct that disrupts learning or poses risks to students and their peers. The review highlights the multifaceted nature of challenging behaviors, often associated with conditions such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), and various psychological and environmental factors. Effective management strategies are crucial for educators to foster a safe and productive classroom atmosphere. The review discusses the importance of early identification and intervention, emphasizing the role of Positive Behavior Support (PBS) and token economy systems in promoting prosocial behaviors. It concludes that while challenging behaviors can be altered through targeted approaches, collaboration among educators, students, and families is essential to mitigate these issues and enhance student well-being and academic success.
2024-11-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Mohd Zuri Ghanihttps://journal.uptm.edu.my/index.php/evolusi/article/view/339Challenges And Satisfaction Of Malaysian Lecturers In Delivering Online Classes From Home2024-11-25T23:12:46+00:00SURIZA NOORFAHMI BINTI HASHIMsuriza@uptm.edu.myNORSUHAILA BINTI SAMSURInorsuhaila.samsuri@gmail.com
The COVID-19 pandemic has transformed the educational landscape, compelling Malaysian lecturers to shift from traditional face-to-face instruction to online teaching. This rapid transition introduced various challenges and opportunities that have significantly influenced lecturers' satisfaction. Key issues include technological barriers such as inadequate internet connectivity and limited digital proficiency, which hinder effective student engagement. Additionally, the home environment, with its inherent distractions, exacerbated stress and feelings of isolation among educators, further complicating their teaching experience. Despite these challenges, online teaching offers flexibility in time management and the potential to reach a broader audience, which can enhance job satisfaction. However, the balance between these benefits and the obstacles faced remains delicate, particularly when lecturers must manage both professional responsibilities and personal well-being.

The literature highlights the need for improved institutional support and comprehensive training programs to enhance digital literacy among educators. Moreover, the psychological impact of online teaching, including feelings of isolation and decreased motivation, has emerged as a critical concern. Addressing these issues is essential for maintaining educational quality and lecturer satisfaction in online teaching environments. Further research is needed to explore the long-term effects of online teaching on lecturer satisfaction and student outcomes, as well as the specific coping strategies lecturers employ to navigate these challenges effectively.
2024-11-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 SURIZA NOORFAHMI BINTI HASHIM, NORSUHAILA BINTI SAMSURIhttps://journal.uptm.edu.my/index.php/evolusi/article/view/353The Challenges Landscape of Young Social Entrepreneurship in Malaysia: A Conceptual Paper2024-12-03T00:56:26+00:00Noorraha Abdul Razaknoorraha@uptm.edu.myNurshuhaida Abdul Razaknurshuhaida@uptm.edu.mySiti Arnizan Mat Rifimsiti_arnizan@uptm.edu.my
This study explores the complex environment of youthful social entrepreneurship in Malaysia, the wide range of difficulties that burgeoning social entrepreneurs face in their quest to make a positive difference. This abstract investigates the development and execution of a sustainable eco-tourism strategy designed specifically for Kampung Orang Asli Sungai Bumbun, a community situated in the lush Malaysian rainforest. The research subject addressed herein is the dilemma of reconciling economic development through tourism with the preservation of the Orang Asli's cultural legacy and the vulnerable ecosystems that surround them. This study's main research question is: How can a sustainable ecotourism plan be developed and put into practice to promote local tourism development while preserving Kampung Orang Asli Sungai Bumbun's cultural and natural integrity? To answer this topic, a mixed-methods approach that included qualitative interviews and participant observation was used. This process allowed for a thorough grasp of the community's needs, goals, and environmental concerns. The findings suggest that a sustainable eco-tourism plan for Kampung Orang Asli Sungai Bumbun should prioritise community involvement, cultural preservation, and environmental conservation. This study, which emphasises the importance of community engagement, cultural sensitivity, and environmental stewardship, provides valuable insights for policymakers, tourism practitioners, and local communities working to achieve sustainable tourism development while preserving indigenous heritage and ecological integrity.
2024-11-28T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 NurNadzatul Zarith Sofena Zahdi, Zaliza Azanhttps://journal.uptm.edu.my/index.php/evolusi/article/view/351Developing A Predatory Journal Finder: Innovations In Safeguarding Research Quality2024-11-25T22:51:50+00:00Wan Asiah binti Wan Muhamad Tahirwanasiah@uptm.edu.myNor Hafiza Abd Samadhafiza@uptm.edu.myNor Hafiza Haronafieza@uptm.edu.myFatimah Bibi Hamzahbibi@uptm.edu.myAnis Juanita Mohd Zainudinanis_juanita@uptm.edu.myRukhiyah Adnanrukhiyah@uptm.edu.myMohd Azahari Mohd Yusofazahariyusof@uitm.edu.my
With the proliferation of Open Access journals and the shift to online publishing, academic publishing has changed dramatically. The number of journals has expanded significantly as the publishing business has evolved. There are currently more journals where authors can publish their work. With the numerous advantages of open-access publication for writers and readers, credible publishers are launching hundreds of new open-access journals. However, due to their increased popularity, less respectable journals have emerged, abusing the author-pay model and jeopardizing the integrity of published research. They do not adhere to academic publishing norms; they usually publish a paper quickly. Publishing research findings in such publications harms the writers and undermines public trust in scientific research. As a result, an application was developed to detect predatory journals, which will guide researchers in evaluating a journal or publisher. The apps will help users identify predatory publications and determine whether or not a journal is legitimate by checking databases such as SCOPUS and Web of Science. To accomplish the goal of this study, Beall's List and other lists of predatory publishers will be employed.
2024-11-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Wan Asiah binti Wan Muhamad Tahir, Nor Hafiza Abd Samad, Nor Hafiza Haron, Fatimah Bibi Hamzah, Anis Juanita Mohd Zainudin, Rukhiyah Adnan, Mohd Azahari Mohd Yusofhttps://journal.uptm.edu.my/index.php/evolusi/article/view/282The Impact of Food Quality On Customer Satisfactions And Local Burger Repurchase Decision2024-12-19T16:27:12+00:00Umi Nadzirah Abdullahuminadzirah57@gmail.comZaliza Azanzaliza@uptm.edu.myJUmain Amborashangjumain@unirazak.edu.my
The research focuses on predicting customer happiness and desire to repurchase local burgers in Cheras. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through the Inclusive Practice Questionnaire and analysed using descriptive, frequency, correlation, and regression analyses. The results reveal that mainstream teachers face significant challenges in adhering to Malaysia's Special Education Needs (SEN) policy, including insufficient resources, large class sizes, inadequate training, and unclear policy guidelines. Although difficulties with parental involvement were noted, they were less significant compared to other challenges. The findings align with existing literature, which identifies insufficient training and resource limitations as primary barriers to effective policy implementation. However, some studies suggest that improved school leadership, collaboration, and teaching practices could alleviate these challenges despite resource constraints. Addressing these issues necessitates clearer policy directives, better resource allocation, reduced class sizes, and ongoing professional development for educators. Enhanced guidance and support systems are crucial for making Malaysia's SEN policy more effective and ensuring successful inclusive education.

2024-11-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Mohd Zuri Ghanihttps://journal.uptm.edu.my/index.php/evolusi/article/view/356The Impact of Reading Comprehension Challenges On Vocabulary Acquisition In Tesl Students2024-12-13T02:46:34+00:00Fadhila Ahmadfadhila@uptm.edu.myFarisha Anuarkl2107009419@student.kuptm.edu.my
This study examines the impact of reading comprehension challenges on vocabulary acquisition among TESL students at a selected tertiary institution.
