About the Journal

Jurnal Evolusi is a peer-reviewed, open-access interdisciplinary social science journal published biannually by Universiti Poly-Tech Malaysia (UPTM). The journal provides a scholarly platform for academics, researchers, professionals, and practitioners to contribute original research that advances knowledge and understanding of contemporary social, organizational, economic, educational, cultural, and developmental issues.

Reflecting the concept of “evolusi” (evolution), the journal places particular emphasis on research that examines change, development, innovation, and transformation within society, organizations, communities, and institutions. It welcomes theoretical, empirical, conceptual, review, and applied studies that offer meaningful academic, practical, or policy contributions, particularly within Malaysia, Asia, and emerging economies, while remaining open to research of broader international relevance.

The journal welcomes manuscripts in Bahasa Melayu or English within four primary areas:

1. Business, Entrepreneurship & Innovation
   Research on entrepreneurship and SMEs, marketing and consumer behaviour, digital business, innovation and technology adoption, service management, supply chain and logistics, and financial and economic development.

2. Governance, Organizations & Community Development
   Research on governance and public policy, organizational behaviour, leadership, human resource management, workplace studies, digital government, ethics and accountability, community development, tourism, and local development.

3. Education, Language, Culture & Religion
   Research on teaching and learning, educational technology, special and inclusive education, early childhood education, TESL, linguistics, communication, culture and heritage, Islamic studies, and the relationship between religion and contemporary society.

4. Well-Being, Inclusion & Sustainable Development
   Research addressing social and occupational well-being, disability and inclusion, gender and equality, public health, poverty and human development, environmental sustainability, and sustainable communities.

Jurnal Evolusi also encourages interdisciplinary research addressing cross-cutting and emerging themes, including artificial intelligence, digital transformation, technology adoption, ethics, sustainability, social and economic inclusion, and Malaysian and Asian perspectives.

All submitted manuscripts undergo a peer-review process involving at least two expert reviewers to ensure scholarly quality, relevance, and contribution to the field.

Through its interdisciplinary and applied orientation, Jurnal Evolusi seeks to advance understanding of how societies, organizations, communities, and individuals evolve in response to technological, economic, institutional, cultural, and social change.
