Abstract

The article investigates the strategic significance of technology in allowing small businesses to effectively compete with larger retail titans. In the face of difficult market realities, small firms must leverage technology breakthroughs to carve out a viable niche. The key concept is the use of e-commerce platforms, digital marketing, data analytics, and consumer interaction technologies as transformative agents that can level the competitive playing field. We show how small businesses are effectively using technology to improve operational efficiencies, personalize consumer experiences, and increase their market reach by combining case studies and expert views. The difficulties connected with technology adoption are discussed, along with practical ways to overcome these obstacles. The article emphasizes the significance of innovation, adaptability, and a customer-centric approach, arguing that small businesses equipped with the correct technology tools and tactics may not only survive but thrive in the face of retail behemoths.  It emphasizes the potential of technology as a means of achieving long-term growth and maintaining a competitive advantage, while also urging businesses to embrace the digital revolution. It concludes that with the correct technological application, small businesses are not only able to survive but also grow, tracking their success in the competitive retail scene. For the methodology, used the interview method we met the owner of the small retail store at Jempol. The findings from the interview are positive relationships.
