Abstract

In order to understand how peoples’ level of trust in government can affect the
usage of e-government service, this research was done. Using a quantitative
method approach with a questionnaire to collect the data. The questionnaire
includes standardize answer format, in the form of Likert scales. The research
was done in Taman Cempaka, Ampang with 152 responses. The answers in
the questionnaire are then analyzed with the help of Statistical Package for the
Social Sciences (SPSS) to get the data results. The results for this are that we
found out that people believe that e-government service are trustworthy and
they do not feel secure when using the e-government transaction. Based on the
technology acceptance model (TAM) theory, high scores on the analysis
correlates with the peoples’ perception of the system and service. The research
also helps us to discover that the relationship between trust in government and
usage of e-government service is connected and have a highly positive
relationship. This research can help the government learn on which aspect to
improve regarding their e-government services.
