Abstract

An e-wallet is a digital wallet that allows mobile users to make online purchases. Some consumers are still concerned about electronic payments, thinking that their online activities may be monitored by dishonest users. This will happen in scenarios such as financial data loss or the theft of sensitive personal information. Individuals are uneasy about the notion of mobile payment due to "fear of an unknown medium," and many are unwilling to even test paying using their mobile device. As a result, this study must emphasise security in order to assess the behavioural intention of using an E-Wallet. This study involved performing a survey of the local community. The surveys were given to 110 people in Klang Valley. This research uses the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). The findings show insignificant relationship between security and behavioural intention. It is suggested that future studies look into the components that influence behavioural intention.
