This study aims to identify the leading sectors in the economy of Jambi City and develop strategies for their enhancement. Utilizing both secondary and primary data, the study employs Location Quotient (LQ), Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ), Shift Share Analysis, and SWOT Analysis as its primary analytical tools. The findings reveal that the key sectors driving Jambi City's economy are Large Trade and Retail; Car and Motorcycle Repair; Processing Industry; and Transportation and Warehousing. Based on the SWOT analysis, development policies for these sectors fall into Quadrant I, advocating for an Aggressive Strategy (S-O). Recommended strategies include: developing modern shopping center infrastructure by leveraging Jambi City's strategic location and robust transportation network; diversifying products in the processing industry using abundant natural resources; and expanding car and motorcycle repair services by utilizing local human resources to meet the high market demand.
