The research article titled "Leading Sector Development Strategy in the Economic Structure of Jambi City" aims to analyze the economic landscape of Jambi City and formulate data-driven policy strategies for economic development. The study utilizes a mix of quantitative and qualitative methods, including SLQ, DLQ, MRP, Overlay, Classic Shift-Share, Esteban Maquila’s Shift-Share, Klassen Typology, SWOT, IFAS, and EFAS analyses. The findings highlight promising sectors such as trade, accommodation, food and beverage services, and corporate services. The research also identifies shifts in the economic structure and competitive advantages in various sectors. Furthermore, the study formulates policy strategies for the development of selected leading sectors in Jambi City. The article provides valuable insights for policymakers and stakeholders in Jambi City to prioritize and plan for economic development
