In the modern global economy, sustainability has become a key issue for all economic sectors. Owing to its widespread influence and global stature, the tourist sector, particularly in Malaysia, is partially to blame for unsustainable practices as well as for helping to promote sustainability. Inadequate infrastructure and amenities are among the sustainability problems associated with tourism in places with exceptionally rich natural ecosystems like the Batang Kali area studied in this study. This research therefore attempts to elucidate the different challenges that Batang Kali organizations have while trying to sustain the expansion of local tourism. By interviewing two respondents, the qualitative method has been used in this study. The findings will identify effective ways and offer specific recommendations, the research hopes to empower local communities, policymakers, and the tourism industry to improve infrastructure, minimize environmental consequences, and safeguard socio-cultural heritage. This result provides valuable insight in obtaining ideas and recommendations that can help local tourism develop sustainably.
